I [Brent Pruitt] am an artist located in Portland, Oregon.
I see my art as a visual exploration of the ‘self’ and the influences that shape us as social creatures. In this vein, I often touch on topics of body image, social justice, gender/queer issues, and the environment. I am fascinated by the strategic use of art as propaganda in politics and advertising.
My strongest artistic inspirations emanate from abstract expressionism, constructivism, minimalism, and pop art.
